Kendall T. Sims
Chief Executive Officer
Kendall Sims is a native of Jackson County, and is no stranger to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Jackson County. Raised in Commerce, he developed a love for building community and connecting to people. After graduating from Commerce High school, Kendall pursued and accomplished a Bachelors degree in Public Policy and Nonprofit Management from Georgia State University (GSU) in Atlanta. Throughout his time at GSU he was afforded many opportunities to volunteer with Atlanta based nonprofits.
Kendall has worked at large nonprofits in very key strategic and programatic roles. He began his career at Points of Light, the worlds largest nonprofit dedicated to inspiring volunteerism and change. He comes to BGCJC after spending time as the Senior Manger of Volunteer Engagement and the Director of Corporate Partnerships for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta serving 10,000 kids and teens annually.
Kendall has been married to Valerie Sims for 6 years. They have one son, Grant. He loves to play the piano, loves to be with his family in Jackson County and loves to help his community.
